Privacy Policy

This website is operated by MPC Holding LLC ("we", "us"), a Utah limited liability company, which publishes The Grandparent Advantage. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. If anything here is unclear, write to information@thegrandparentadvantage.com and a person will answer you.

What we collect

• When you request the free plan: your first name and email address.
• When you buy something: your name, email address, telephone number and billing address, collected by our payment processor. Your city and state come to us as part of that record.
• When you create an account: your email address, a password you choose (stored only as an encrypted hash, never in readable form), and your progress and homework answers.
• Automatically: standard web log data and cookie identifiers, described below.

We never see or store your card number. Card details go directly to Stripe, our payment processor, and are never transmitted to us.

Why we use it

• To deliver what you asked for — the free plan, your books, your course access.
• To create and support your account, and to answer your emails.
• To send you occasional email about this work. Every message has a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing does not affect anything you have purchased.
• To send one short survey about ten days after purchase, so we can fix what is broken.
• To measure which pages and advertisements bring people here, in aggregate.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade our email list.

Cookies and advertising

We use Google's tag (gtag.js) to understand which sources bring visitors to this site and which pages lead to a purchase. This sets cookies in your browser and shares a record of your visit, including a cookie identifier and the pages you viewed, with Google. Where a purchase happens, a conversion event is reported so we can tell which advertisement worked. This is aggregate measurement — we do not receive your name or email from Google.

You can opt out at Google's own Ads Settings page, block cookies in your browser, or use Google's opt-out add-on. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.

Who else handles your data

Stripe	Payments, receipts, tax calculation. Receives your name, email, phone and billing address.
Google	Advertising measurement, as described above.
Netlify	Hosts this website and receives the free-plan form submissions.
Kit	Sends our email. Holds your name and email address.
Google Workspace	Our own mailbox, if you write to us.

Each of these is a service provider bound to use your information only to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it

Account and purchase records are kept while your account is open and for seven years afterwards, because tax law requires it. Email-list records are kept until you unsubscribe, and deleted within thirty days of a deletion request.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you may ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia and the European Economic Area and United Kingdom have these rights by statute; we extend them to everyone. Write to information@thegrandparentadvantage.com and we will respond within thirty days. We will not discriminate against you for asking.

Children

This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. Although this work is about children, we never ask you for a child's name, photograph or details, and we ask that you do not send them.

Security, and honesty about it

Traffic to this site is encrypted, passwords are hashed, and payment data never touches our systems. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affected your information we would tell you directly rather than bury it in a notice.

Changes

If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. Material changes will also go out by email to anyone on our list.
